The following three images are extracts from three photographs taken on the same
day just a few minutes apart over Contra Costa County, California on July 31,
2008. Click on the snippets for the full-size images (warning: each is 5-10MB).
The selected pool (1) is seen in all three views, and would not normally be targeted as
it is clean and the water is transparent. For every 1,000 feet we descend, there
is only a marginal increase in the resolution and a corresponding increase in the
flight time and image processing time.
At 5,000 Feet AGL - Master Image is 3840 by 2592,
Pixel size is 8.2", Snippet size is 820 by 547 feet. This is our standard
altitude for Pool Surveys, resulting in a net of 3.66 photographs per square
mile after allowance for overlap.
